Return Conditions

Return conditions are the conditions a return must meet to be accepted for a refund or exchange. These include the condition of the product, whether the packaging is intact and if the return periodwas not excedeed.

Is having return conditions mandatory?

Return conditions are not required to be stated on your website, but nonetheless are important to communicate clearly to the customer as part of the return policy.

What return conditions always apply?

The Distance Selling Act stipulates that consumers in the EU have the right to cancel the purchase and return the product within 14 days of receiving it without needing to give a reason for doing so.

As a store, you must then refund the full purchase price including the original shipping costs within 14 days of receiving the returned product.

The cost of return shipping is for the consumer, unless stated otherwise in your return policy.

Besides this, there are no legal requirements around return conditions for online stores.
